The Old Rolleiflex

I've been playing with an old Rolleiflex this past week. It's one of those cameras that look bigger than it actually is, so gets left behind in favour of something that looks smaller than it really is. Does that make sense?

The one I'm using is a Standard Rolleiflex made in 1933 and it never ceases to amaze me how good it is to use. Despite it being nearly eight years old it's a very modern camera that's simple to use. I apologise for the Bluebells,  cliched and hackneyed as they are I still enjoy the site of them.

    Thanks for the bluebells Tim, cliched or not i am still looking for a decent patch to photograph for my blog, the old rollei looks to still be doin the business and it looks like a lens wide open again, is this becoming your trademark ?.

    The bluebells' straight greenery are a perfect side dish to the grand, black curves of the iron gate. The spider web deletes any cliche and adds to the sense of peering into a smaller world. I like it, a lovely photo with a just right dose of blue.

    I love bluebells, and with the gray skies and rain we've been having forever (wettest April in 8 yrs), they are a welcome sight, even if only by way of a picture.
