I'm pleased that someone else finds these thatched roofs attractive. Most villages in East Anglia (Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk), have a few old cottages with thatched roofs, but ones like this with sculptures are quite rare. However, I know of a few more, I'll snap them when I'm passing.

  1. There's a cottage near me with a thatched roof and sculptures of doves sitting along it. I love it.

  2. Oooo ... keep snapping pics! Wow! LOVE it!! How completely fabulous! How I would love a thatched roof with a fox and cubs ... my neighbors here in the States would think I was crazy. :)

  3. The foxes are a charming touch, and I like that they're rather simple in shape. The crosshatch and circle detailing along the crest of that beautiful roof are perfect.

  4. Tim, Found you through Etsy & my passion for beautiful old cameras. Enjoy your your wit, sensible camera observations and interesting photos. Thanks for the Fox & Cubs. I found a similar one on top of a oyster house in Kilcolgan, Galway but missed the shot because it was so dark. You brought back memories.
